Introducing The Simply Magic Lifestyle Framework
So… you might have heard about some new changes that are happening around here at Ink and Pine. And I am over the moon excited to share this new adventure with you all!
Not long ago, I was struggling with a never-ending to-do list and constantly being overwhelmed. Back in 2018, I was in the thick of it. I had a complete mental breakdown and felt that I had truly hit rock bottom. I had just had my second child in August of 2017 and was struggling to balance my job, my two kids under two, managing a household, taking care of my pets, keeping up with friends and family, and nurturing my relationship with my husband. I felt like there was just no way I could do it all! I went into what I call survival mode. I felt like each day I was simply reacting to whatever was thrown at me. There was no strategy, no control, and no hope. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and depressed. I wondered when I would ever feel like I had a life or when I would ever be able to pursue my own dreams again, instead of just being a mindless slave zombie responding to the needs of everyone else.
So I did something about it…
Towards the end of 2018 and early 2019, I got to work. I spent a lot of time digging deep, doing a lot of heart work and mindset work. Since organization and time management have always come naturally to me, I decided to focus my time on building a lifestyle framework, not simply a productivity or schedule-building framework.
Eventually, in 2020 I decided I wanted to share this framework with other women who were struggling with the anxiety of overwhelm of simply having too much on their plates. I wanted to show them that it is possible to accomplish big things while also showing up well for yourself and your relationships.
So the Simply Magic Lifestyle Framework was born
If you're completely overwhelmed, stressed out, and frustrated because your dreams are always taking a back seat to your never-ending to-do list, I have good news for you - there is a better way! The Simply Magic Framework is a lifestyle change and an overall wellness approach to pursuing big dreams without sacrificing what matters.
OK, BUT WHY SIMPLY MAGIC?
I chose the word simple because this program is largely based on simplifying. Not that you just need to eliminate activities, responsibilities, and relationships to the point where you are left wondering why you even wake up each day (which is essentially what happened to me after I burnt out in 2018). It's that I want you to CHOOSE with a purpose what you allow into your life. I want you to be spending your precious energy and resources on the things that will bring you the most joy and happiness while simplifying the rest so that it doesn't bog you down.
Now as to why I chose magic for the second word....
I wanted this program to be largely about working SMARTER not harder. Putting into place systems and processes that allow us to quickly move through the boring and repetitive tasks each day so we have more time and energy for our hobbies, our people, and our dreams. It's not that you're going to just simplify everything, it's that you're going to simplify the things that aren't very that important to you and the things that are just standing in the way of you doing what you actually WANT to be doing. This will allow you to create magic in the areas of your life that are the most important.
